Mandy | Empower 40+ Hadonica's Photography

Another day, another incredible woman that I get to share with you all! The next woman I’d like to feature in my Empower 40+ blog series is a mother, wife, nurse, and entrepreneur. Talk about the whole package! She joined the Empower 40+ thanks to her husband’s encouragement. Husband goals, am I right?! Everyone, meet my strong, smart, and downright sexy friend, Mandy!

Prior to Mandy’s session, she realized that her Empower session was so much more than simply getting dressed up and taking beautiful pictures. Mandy was diagnosed with breast cancer; therefore, she wanted to be a part of the Empower 40+ campaign to be able to capture her beauty prior to starting chemotherapy and undergoing surgery. Her husband was her number one supporter, encouraging her to take the time to celebrate herself.

After turning 40, initially life remained consistent for Mandy. However, when she turned 45, she received her breast cancer diagnosis. This gave Mandy a new outlook on life, and it was a reminder to her to always count her blessings. It’s important to make the best out of every single day.

Mandy wishes she could tell her younger self to always work on yourself to become the best version of you that you can be. Don’t pay attention to the petty things in life. Focus on what truly matters. Mandy is such an inspirational woman. Even after being given her breast cancer diagnosis, she is such a positive light. She brings so much joy to those around her, and I’m so glad she trusted me to share her story. A special shout out to her husband who sent her my way. We are so glad you did!
