Gee | Empower 40+ Hadonica's Photography

The next woman I’d like to feature in my Empower 40+ blog series is a mother, grandmother, wife, surgical nurse, and proud puppy parent, just to name a few! You may see her around town with her high school sweetheart, with their two dachshunds riding shotgun living their best lives. I’m beyond ecstatic to introduce you to my classy and charismatic friend, Gee!

Gee stated she wanted to be a part of the Empower 40+ campaign to step into the spotlight and feel special for a day. She hadn’t been photographed since her wedding day over 40 years ago; therefore, she decided it was time to give her family updated portraits of herself that they’ll be able to cherish for a lifetime.

After turning 40, Gee said her life didn’t change whatsoever! Contrary to what some people think, she said age is truly just a number. Getting older simply means you are gifted another year in this world, which is something people should look forward to and embrace.

Gee wishes she could tell her younger self to slow down, take a minute for herself, and breathe. You can and will get through everything life throws your way. Gee is a woman full of wisdom, and she is an absolute gift to this world. She has a passion for her career and family that is unmatched, and to know Gee is to love her. I’m honored I was able to capture her beauty and grace, and share a little piece of her story.
