3 Tips on Self-Love | Hadonica's Photography

Self-love can be a tricky thing. But it's also one of the most important things we can do for ourselves and for those around us. So how do we ensure we're taking care of our mental health and cultivating the right attitude toward ourselves? Here are three tricks I have up my sleeve when it comes to self-love:

 

1. Remember that everyone is different. You don't need to be "perfect" or "the best" at anything. You need to be YOU, and you will find your own way in this world. There is no one else like you! Celebrate that!


2. Know that you are enough—right now. This moment is all there is, so enjoy it! Don't worry about what might happen tomorrow or next year—focus on what matters right now: yourself, your friends/family/co-workers/etc. Worrying about what might happen in the future will only stress you out today!


3. Give yourself permission to "not be perfect." It's okay if something doesn't go according to plan sometimes—or even oftentimes! The world isn't going to end.

When it comes to self-love, remember that this is a marathon and not a race. We are on a journey to embrace ourselves as we are and equip ourselves with the tools to handle the obstacles that come our way. The best way to do make this trek is to just take it one step at a time.
